Bi-County: Overview PROJECT LOCATION: Clarksville, TN LF Owner: Bi-County Solid Waste Authority Gas Rights: Bi-County Gas Producers, LLC GCCS: The GCCS consists of 21 vertical wells and 2 clean-out ties ins installed in May/June 2010. The 23 collection points connect to a lateral and header pipe system which utilizes two sumps to handle condensate removal. The blower/flare station, equipped with a Siemens gas analyzer, venturi-style flow meters, thermocouples, pressure transmitters, and a digital chart recorder, became operational on October 7th, 2010. Approx # of tones in Place: 2.8 million Gas Flows (@50% CH4): 550-600scfm Carbon: Yes – Listed on CAR End-Use Option(s): Power – 10yr PPA under TVA’s Generation Partners Program Project Description: BCGP has a long-term gas rights contract with the Bi-County Solid Waste Authority. The landfill began accepting waste in 1974 and is expected to remain open for another 40 years. A caterpiller 3516A+ combustion engine was installed and became operational in late July, 2011. The GCCS was built by Enerdyne's construction arm, Advance One Development, LLC (A1), as a completely voluntary action. This Non-NSPS site is eligible for carbon credits and is registered under CAR's US Landfill Protocol 3.0 (CAR790). POWER GENERATION End User: Tennessee Valley Authority - Possible thanks to TVA's Generation Partners Program and Fort Loudoun Electric Cooperative. Engine: Caterpillar 3516A+ - Only the second engine of this type to run on Landfill Gas Engine Specs: Best Available Control Technology (BACT)
